Improved Racing's patented dry sump LS oil pan baffle bolts directly into the dry sump pan with the existing screw holes used for the pickup tube. No drilling holes in your pan and no modifications required!
One of the main causes of oil starvation in the C6 Corvette semi-dry sump system is oil aeration. When the pickup tube in the oil pan sucks up air, it aerates the oil, filling the dry sump tank with foamy oil. The foamy oil is compressible and results in oil pressure drops when pumped into the engine. This baffle helps keep more oil around the pickup tube in the oil pan, reducing oil aeration and improving oil pressures.
The louvered baffle plate helps trap oil flung off the crankshaft and return it to the bottom of the pan while also reducing oil slosh, making more oil available at the pickup tube.
Available as an add-on is the second edition metal LS7 OEM pickup tube, part #12580855. Early model LS7's came with a plastic tube that may cause clearance issues the EGM-203 oil pan baffle. If your pan came with the plastic tube, we recommend upgrading to this metal one for optimized fitment. Please check your pickup tube before ordering.
